Christmas

This year I wished for snow... but I got sunshine instead... and sunburn.  :]

It's my first Christmas spent apart from my family because my sis is living in Melbourne.  So, instead, I spent a whole sleepless week baking, wrapping, eating, and running around like a headless chicken to organise a retreat for my workmates at Lake Tarawera.  Totally worth the effort!  The roads were tricky windy and the manual car kept stalling on me...but we finally got there and the views were spectacular!!  A huge thank you to all my compadres for helping me with the cooking and cleaning and celebrating and all the water fighting... and eating, because without you, I'd be getting pretty fat. :D

The view from the bach.

Lake Tarawera.

Baking an insane amount of brownies and anzac cookies.

Thanks for the lanterns Liza!! Mum loves them. :D

And thanks also to everybody for all the lovely gifts that was bestowed upon me and my family! Chocolate galore and boy how Eric's eyes gleamed with joy.  Thank you for fattening up my brother, he is almost ready to eat.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas with your loved ones !
